About UDI - Calgary: UDI Alberta
UDI Alberta is the umbrella
organization for the various chapters that make up the Urban
Development Institute in Alberta. As such, it has authority to
represent the Development Industry on provincial matters that may
affect the industry on a Province wide basis.
UDI - Alberta's Mission is: "To act as the ammbassador for the Development Industry with the
Government of Alberta and its people and to work together as stewards of the land to create sustainable,
vibrant communities for all Albertans."
UDI Alberta is headquartered
in Edmonton and has eight local chapters that operate in the
Province: Calgary, Cold Lake, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Grande
Prairie, Red Deer, Medicine Hat & Wood Buffalo. Each chapter chairman,
or a designated alternate, is required to report on the activities
and membership status of the chapter at each UDI Alberta Board
Meeting.
It is each chapter's responsibility to represent the
Development Industry at a local level with regard to issues that
affect the Industry on a local basis. Should a chapter identify an
issue that affects the Industry on a Province-wide basis, the
Chapter Chairman must bring the matter before the UDI Alberta Board
of Directors.
