Benefits
Of Membership Considerable cost savings have accrued to
members involved in the development of residential, commercial and
industrial projects through UDI - Calgary negotiations with various
approving authorities. See Technical Bulletins, Information Bulletins, Position Papers, Relevant City of Calgary
Documents.
The numerous political and bureaucratic issues
that affect the development industry as a whole are researched and
addressed by UDI - Calgary in order to minimize negative impacts on
the industry.
UDI - Calgary presents a consistent and
credible position to city, provincial and federal politicians and
administrators which benefits all members. See current Committees &
Projects.
Membership in UDI - Calgary provides an
opportunity for developers, consultants and contractors to meet on a
regular basis to discuss and resolve problems of mutual concern.
Dissemination
of regular UDI - Calgary newsletters provide
every member with information on Development Agreement negotiations,
planning issues, provincial and federal issues that affect all types
of real estate development.

Any company developing land in the Calgary or the
surrounding municipalities will hold the Developer
Category of membership. A lot production fee is
applicable and will be determined at the time of
renewal, based on the previous years' activity for
single family and multi family development. |

Associate 1 |
All non-developer members with 10 or more employees.
Should a non-developer member (either Associate 1 or 2)
engage in land development activity in a given year, a
lot production fee is applicable and will be determined
at the time of renewal, based on the previous years'
activity for single family and multi family

Associate 2 |
All non-developer members with 9 or less employees.
Should a non-developer member (either Associate 1 or 2)
engage in land development activity in a given year, a

Corresponding |
Members in this category include educational
institutions, municipalities and public sector agencies,
who simply wish to be placed on UDI - Calgary's mailing
list to receive newsletters and public correspondence.
Companies which are not involved in the industry
locally are also eligible. Corresponding members will
receive no other member benefits. |

volume, activity, and assets and the final decision on
classification rests with the Board of Directors of UDI -
